PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how our application (hereinafter, "the Application") collects, uses, processes, and protects user information. We take privacy very seriously and are committed to ensuring that the use of the Application is secure and transparent.
By using the Application, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
The Application is designed under the principle of data minimization. In its standard guest mode, the Application does not require user account registration, and we do not collect direct Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as real names, email addresses, or phone numbers to access basic features.
Note: Future premium features, subscriptions, or optional user accounts may require a voluntary registration process, which will be explicitly notified to the user and governed by this policy.
However, to ensure the proper functioning of the current service the following data is collected:
- Device Identifiers: We collect the Android ID or the Identifier for Vendors (IDFV) on iOS. Alternatively, the application generates a local, random unique identifier for the session.
- User-Generated Content (UGC): We collect and store the text of the messages (shouts) that you voluntarily choose to post on the public city walls.
- User Interactions: We log the history of upvotes ("Likes") and reports or flags submitted against other messages.
- Diagnostic and Moderation Data: If a message is repeatedly reported by the community, the system archives that message along with the application version and operating system (Android/iOS) for exclusive moderation purposes.
- Anonymous Analytical Data: When a message is posted, non-linkable aggregated data such as the device language, the city name, and an internal city score are recorded. Note: The Application does not collect or store precise geolocation (GPS) data from the user.
2. Use and Processing of Data
The processing of collected data is carried out automatically for the following legitimate purposes:
- Anonymization and Pseudonymization: The Device Identifier is never displayed publicly. It is processed internally using an irreversible mathematical algorithm (Hash) to consistently assign the user a random pseudonym and avatar, ensuring anonymity towards other users.
- Active Data Protection: The Application incorporates an automated filter that analyzes the text before it is sent to block the publication of phone numbers, email addresses, or web links, actively preventing accidental exposure of personal data.
- Moderation and Abuse Prevention: Identifiers are used to limit interactions (one vote/report per device), manage community moderation, and automatically remove inappropriate content.
- Limited Data Retention: Messages on the walls are temporary by nature. The system applies a dynamic retention policy that permanently deletes older messages, keeping only the most recent ones per location.
- Local Storage: The device's local storage (SharedPreferences) is used exclusively to save the user's technical preferences (selected language, acceptance of terms, and configuration data).
3. Data Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties for advertising purposes. Data sharing is strictly limited to:
- Infrastructure Providers (Data Processor): Data is securely stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) services, which acts as our cloud infrastructure and database provider.
- Public Distribution in the Application: The text of your published messages and the assigned pseudonymous avatar will be visible to any other user who accesses the section for that specific city.
- Legal Requirements and Safety: Messages that seriously violate the terms of use and are archived by moderation will be kept privately and transitionally along with the device identifier to respond to potential requests from competent legal authorities.
4. Data Security
We implement technical security measures to protect your data. All information transfer between the Application and the cloud storage servers is encrypted using HTTPS and TLS secure transport protocols.
5. User Rights and Data Deletion (Right to Be Forgotten)
We guarantee the right of users to control the information they generate. The Application includes a feature accessible in its settings menu called "Delete all my data".
Upon executing this action, the system will automatically, immediately, and irreversibly proceed to:
- Delete all messages published by your device identifier from the database.
- Clear all records of "Likes" granted.
- Remove any trace of identity or configuration stored locally on the device.
6. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time to adapt it to new legislation or technical improvements of the Application. Users are advised to review this page periodically.
